At Valencia Presbyterian Church, our Sunday Worship combines a time of reflection, learning and inspiration in a comfortable atmosphere for the whole family.

Pastor Gary Weston's weekly sermons entail practical teachings for today's environment through solid Bible based instruction.  Our weekly services also include a short Children's Message from Pastor Gary, Children's Ministry Director Angie Gillis, or from our entertaining "Hands of Faith" Puppet Ministry team.

VPC worship services provide blended musical inspiration through contemporary praise music, traditional hymns and today's popular Christian songs led by the Praise Team and complemented by periodic solo performances and special choral anthems by the Chancel Choir.

Communion is served the first Sunday of each month. At VPC, communion is open to all professing Christians and is not restricted to Presbyterians or members of the church.

Join us immediately after the worship service each week for coffee, cookies and a time of Christian Fellowship.

Sunday School classes are held for ages 3 to adult. Children are introduced to the significant concepts of the Christian faith through age appropriate lessons and materials. Children's Sunday School classes follow the traditional school year (September through May).

Spiritual growth doesn't end with childhood. Our adult class focuses on important issues for our lives in an informal setting which encourages us to examine our walk with God.  Classes meet every week throughout the year.

 

Children's Church meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month in the Fellowship Hall during the 10:00 am Sunday Worship Service.  Each Children's Church lesson is carefully planned and the activities are all geared toward young children.  In additon to Scripture and Song, the children learn parts of worship that are included on a weekly basis, as well as those components of special services like Baptism and Communion.  Young children are quite capable of understanding "why we do what we do," but it must be presented in an age appropriate manner and that is the goal of the Children's Church ministry.

In 2008, we have expanded this ministry to children ages 3-10 and children will be split into age groups to better aid in their learning.  We will continue to offer the program just twice a month so that on the other Sundays children can worship with their parents and see what they are learning put into practice.

 

Childcare is available for children under 3 years of age during Sunday School and ages newborn through 5 years during Worship Service in our Kidzz Kingdom Nursery in the lower level.

 

For those individuals living in nursing homes and personal care centers who are unable to attend Worship services at the church, Valencia Presbyterian Church has a worship team that takes the music and the message on the road.  The team currently visits Fosnights of Valencia twice a month and Valencia Woods Personal Care Center twice a month.
